Mr. Henry Branham is a true role model for so many in our community. From serving on our Family Resource Center Advisory Council to volunteering at Shearer Elementary whenever needed, he is always ready to step up at a moment’s notice. We are beyond thankful for everything he does to support Clark County and our Shearer family!
Congratulations, Henry!

Mrs. Brownlee’s first graders are loving every chapter of James and the Giant Peach as part of our One Book, One School initiative! What makes reading even sweeter? A special treat of Peach Rings generously sent in by one of our wonderful parents!
As we read, discuss, and make connections, our students are growing as Resilient Learners—staying curious, embracing challenges, and persevering as they learn something new. Keep up the great work Sharks! 🍑💛🦈
A Very Special Honor for a Shearer Teacher! 🇺🇸
We are beyond proud to celebrate our very own Ms. Jenkins, who was recently surprised with an incredible gift from one of our Shearer Elementary families!
Ms. Jenkins was presented with an official American flag flown by the 379th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. This flag was proudly flown over the skies of Qatar, Iraq, Kazakhstan, and Germany on November 13, 2025, during a Special Assignment Airlift Mission.
This flag was flown specifically to honor Ms. Jenkins and thank her for her dedication to teaching our students about Veterans Day, as well as her tireless work putting together our annual Veterans Day program to honor our servicemen and women.
Please join us in thanking this thoughtful family for such a meaningful tribute, and help us congratulate Ms. Jenkins on this unforgettable honor!
